Any type of phone user can use Solo Alert as a safety circle member, but at the moment, a subscription to Solo Alert is only available on Apple. Android users can be part of a safety circle, however, they will receive text messages instead of using the app.

A: If you want to learn how to manage your safety circle, then check out this video. Here is also another video on how to re-add a safety circle member if they haven’t accepted your invitation yet.
A: If your contacts didn’t receive a notification for a missed check-in or request for help, it’s likely they haven’t accepted the invitation from SOLOALERT to be part of your safety circle. When you add a safety circle member they will get a text from SOLOALERT, but some people may miss the text or accidentally ignore it. Here’s a video on to fix this issue.

A: Head to the “Your Check-Ins” section in the app’s settings. Make sure you’ve set up your check-in reminders for each day — if no reminder is scheduled for that particular day or days of the week, the app will assume no check-in is needed. A: When you open the app, you’ll see that there is an option to check-in ahead of time. If you’ve checked in for the morning slot, you’ll see that it says you have done 1 out of 2 check-ins for the day and there is an opportunity there to check in for the evening slot in advance.

A: You can use this function if you’d like to alert your safety circle immediately that you need help. Although this is a fantastic feature, we are not an emergency service, so if you have a legitimate emergency, please contact 000 first. A: Firstly, they will download the app as a safety circle member and be a free user (not a paid subscriber). We want your safety circle to be able to communicate among each other and also with you in the case of an accident or emergency. Imagine if you missed a check-in because you slept in and five people turned up at your door!
A: Solo Alert offers a 60 day free trial period, after which there is a subscription available for less than $1 per week.
A: It might take you a few days or weeks to get into a routine, and you might even forget to check-in occassionaly after that. If you do miss a check-in and someone in your safety circle contacts you, jump straight into the app and confirm your safety asap to prevent unnecessary ongoing alerts to your safety circle. If you don’t confirm your safety, your safety circle will continue to be alerted to check on you.
A: Solo Alert uses AWS cloud storage for Solo Alert, ensuring world-class data protection with encryption, backup, and fast recovery. AWS is the global benchmark for scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
A: Solo Alert is a preventive tool that alerts your safety circle if you miss a check-in. It does not provide emergency response services. You can, however, request assistance from your entire safety circle at the press of a button.
